Lucent’s design philosophy is a departure from the whitening industry’s approach. We have taken a first principles approach to our product design, critically asking:

• What is each ingredient in tooth whitening actually for?
• Is it a natural ingredient? If not why not, and can we replace it with a natural one?
• What is the minimum set of natural ingredients required to achieve a professional quality outcome?

Through asking these questions we have found that many products on the market are full of artificial ingredients, including many that are not actually required for tooth whitening at all!
